The Trenton Digital Initiative (TDI) computer redistribution program has partnered with WithumSmith and Brown, PC, a regional accounting firm with a local office in Princeton. The firm has contributed 15 refurbished laptop computers and 15 keyboard and mouse packages to TDI.

WithumSmith and Brown promotes a culture of charitable-giving and community engagement and is routinely ranked as one of Accounting Today’s “Best Accounting Firms to Work for” and one of the “Best Places to Work for in New Jersey” by NJBIZ.

The Trenton Digital Initiative is a grassroots volunteer effort led by Mercer Street Friends which exists to bridge the digital divide. TDI repurposes donated computers and redistributes them free of charge to economically challenged families in the greater Trenton area. TDI provides the necessary tools and resources for connecting those computers to low-cost internet access, which helps to break the digital barrier. Major partners include Mercer Street Friends, Trenton Rotary Club, MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce and Comcast Internet Essentials Program. AR&C Self-Storage is the official Transportation Partner.

TDI has received nearly 600 computer donations in 2015 thanks to the generosity of various donors.
