Valentine’s Day shooting leaves man critically injured in Trenton

A 46-year-old Trenton man was left in critical condition following a Valentine’s Day shooting in the city.

Police said the man was hit by a single round shortly before 2 a.m. on Feb. 14 in the area of the 400 block of Hamilton Avenue.

Officers responding to the report found the victim at Lincoln and North Clinton avenues. He was taken to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition as of Sunday morning, authorities said.

Investigators have not yet released details about what led to the gunfire.

The Mercer County Shooting Response Team is handling the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to reach out to Trenton Police.
