The City of Trenton will once again help local families prepare for the holiday season with its annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway on Monday, Nov. 24.

The distribution begins at noon and will continue until supplies run out. Residents are encouraged to arrive early and bring their own bags for pickup. A rain date is scheduled for Nov. 25.

City officials said the long-running tradition is meant to support households across Trenton and ensure families have what they need to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal together.

The event is organized by the Department of Recreation, Natural Resources and Culture under Interim Director Paul Harris, with support from Mayor W. Reed Gusciora’s administration.

Turkeys will be distributed at three locations citywide:

Unity Square Park – Hamilton Ave & Chestnut AveWest Ward Rec Center – 351 Prospect StGeorge Page Park – North Clinton Ave & Lawrence St

The city expects a strong turnout as the demand for holiday food assistance typically increases in late November. Officials said expanding distribution across multiple neighborhoods helps make the program more accessible to residents.
