PSRC offers tax assistance

Princeton Senior Resource Center set to offer tax assistance starting Feb. 8.

Volunteers from AARP will help low and moderate income people prepare state and federal tax returns.

The service is for all ages, but volunteers are knowledgeable in tax regulations and rebate programs from senior citizens.

Participants must bring copies of their 2011 federal and New Jersey tax returns and any information pertinent to filing for 2012 including W-2 and 1099 income forms, unemployment statements, SSA-1099 Security forms, property tax bill, dependent care provider information and receipts for itemized deductions like medical bills and charity contributions.

Appointments are available 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Fridays starting Feb. 8 at the Suzanne Patterson Building, 45 Stockton St., Princeton.
