Author Idra Novey is set to discuss her debut novel, “Ways to Disappear,” at a special launch event on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. The event will be held at 7 p.m. at the Princeton Public Library, 65 Witherspoon Street, Princeton.

Novey is a teacher for Princeton University’s creative writing program. She is the author of “Exit, Civilian,” which was selected for the 2011 National Poetry Series.

In her latest book, Novey combines mystery, romance, noir and humor in the telling of the story of Emma, a young American translator. When the famous Brazilian author whose works she has translated for years vanishes, Emma embarks on a search that leads from snowy Pittsburgh to sultry Rio.
