New winter classes by Arts Council

Arts Council of Princeton is offering several new classes for children, teens and adults this winter.

The council said it has 125 classes scheduled this winter. Some classes begin Jan.7.

The council is set to offer its traditional Drawing & Painting, Darkroom & Digital Photography, and Ceramics & Sculpture classes for adults and teens.

It is also offering new adult programs like Chinese Brush Painting: Seasonal Flowers, Painting: The Personalized Approach, Joyful Art Journaling, Digital Layout, Creating a Digital Art Portfolio, Printing on Clay, Silk Dyeing & Painting, and Photographing the Nude.

For teens, the council has Painting Academy and Digital Cartoons and Comics classes.

The councils new children’s programs include Meet the Masters, Museum Mornings, Super Heroes in Art, Experiencing Art and Surf’s Up

The council said registration for its popular Spring Break Camp for ages 5-10 from March 22-29 is open. The camp is set to be “an artful adventure which will feature a different exciting era in art history each day.”

The council is also offering March Madness, a series of afternoon art sessions after Princeton Public School’s early dismissal on March 12, 13, 19 and 20.

Classes are set to take place at The Paul Robeson Center for the Arts, 102 Witherspoon Street, Princeton.
