Princeton Public Library is hosting an AARP-Tax Aide event staring Feb. 4.

The library said the event will help seniors and people of low and moderate income prepare and electronically file their federal and New Jersey tax returns.

The library said the service will be offered Monday mornings from Feb. 4 to April 15.

The program is intended for individual returns ready to be filed electronically the day of the appointment.

The library said participants should bring a copy of last year’s return and documentation for all current year income and expenses that may be deductible. These documents include W-2, Social Security Year-End report and retirement account statement.

The library said appointments are necessary and can be made by calling 609.924.9529, extension 220. Appointments typically last one hour.
