Stephen S. Murray installed as Lawrenceville School Head Master on October 9, 2015. Murray began his duties on July 1, 2015.

On October 9, 2015, Stephen S. Murray was installed as the Lawrenceville School Head Master by Thomas L. Carter, Jr. President of the School’s Board of Trustees. Murray is the thirteenth person to lead the School in its 205 year history. The ceremony took place in Lawrenceville’s Lavino Field House and included representatives from all parts of the School community sharing their well wishes for Murray.

The theme of his Installation Address, optimism, was especially apt as he stood before students and a “virtual” audience of alumni and parents, watching via the web.

Founded in 1810, The Lawrenceville School offers a comprehensive, coeducational program for 817 students in grades nine through post-graduate, who come from 30 states and 40 countries. The School is located at 2500 Main Street on 700 acres in the historic village of Lawrenceville. For additional information, please visit lawrenceville.org.
