Steinway Society 25th season opens on Feb. 15

Phyllis Alpert Lehrer, a professor of piano at Westminster Choir College, will lead the celebration of the Greater Princeton Steinway Society’s 25th season in a solo performance on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 3 p.m.

The performance will take place in the recital hall at Jacobs Music located at 2540 Brunswick Pike in Lawrenceville.

The program will be a reenactment of Lehrer’s inaugural 1989 gala performance for the Steinway Society, featuring works by Mozart, Debussy, Schumann and Chopin.

A social hour with refreshments and conversation with Lehrer will follow the performance.

Lehrer holds a B.A. in music from the University of Rochester’s Eastman School of Music and an M.S. in piano from the Juilliard School of Music.

Admission is $18. Tickets may be purchased at the Jacobs Music Recital Hall 30 minutes before the program.
