Mercer County Community College Student Visual Art Show set to open April 17

Winning poster design for Mercer County Community College’s Student Visual Art Show by Robbinsville resident Jaclyn Solarski. Her work to be displayed in the show set for April 17 through May 10.

Artwork by Mercer County Community College students is set to be on display in The Gallery at Mercer April 17 through May 10.

An opening reception for MCCC Student Visual Art Show is scheduled for 5 to 7:30 p.m. April 24 at the gallery in the college’s Communications Building, 1220 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor.

The exhibition features art by 75 of MCCC’s visual and graphic art students. The works represent creations by students in all of the visual arts, ranging from advertising and graphic design to animation, photography and sculpture.

Robbinsville resident Jaclyn Solarski created the winning design for the exhibition’s promotional posters and postcards. Her design, as well as those of her classmates in MCCC’s Advertising Design class, are set to be on display.

This show is supported, in part, by the Mercer County Cultural & Heritage Commission through a grant funded by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders.

Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m Saturday and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
