Melz Salon celebrates a year in Lawrenceville

Melz Salon is celebrating its first year in business in Lawrenceville .

The salon is owned by Lawrence resident Melissa Gaunt, who relocated the business to her hometown five years after opening it in Middlesex County.

Gaunt specializes in nonsurgical hair replacement, regrowth and recovery for all hair types. The salon offers laser therapy for hair regrowth for clients with chemical damage or early stages of hair loss.

Melz is a multi-cultural hair salon with the mantra, “we do diversity with a twist.”

The staff overs a multitude of services. Colorist Cliffy turns locks to rich shares, Kyle does extensions and Debbie restores hair that hat been chemically damaged by harsh relaxers.

Gaunt is set to air a television spot on local cable this fall.
