Hiring Our Heroes job fair and employment workshop is scheduled for the Armory at Department of Military and Veterans Affairs headquarters, 151 Eggerts Crossing Road, Lawrenceville. Employer registration is set to begin at 8 a.m. and veteran registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

The GE Employment Workshop is scheduled for 9 a.m., with the job fair running from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Mock interviewing and resume review will be available throughout the hiring fair.

Representatives from the New Jersey State Library and the Mercer County Library plan to demonstrate job-search assistance available through public libraries.

HOH, a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, was launched in March 2011 as a nationwide initiative to help veterans and military spouses find employment. Working with The American Legion and the foundation’s vast network of state and local chambers and other strategic partners from the public, private, and non-profit sectors, the goal is to create a movement across America in hundreds of communities where veterans and military families return every day.

Program sponsors have hosted nine fairs in New Jersey, which featured 570 employers with 162 veterans or their spouses getting hired.
