HomeFront’s 2014 Thanksgiving Drive planned for Nov. 12 through 21

HomeFront children can enjoy a home-cooked meal on Thanksgiving Day and throughout the week thanks to the generosity of the community.

Each Thanksgiving, HomeFront is committed to ensuring that homeless and needy families will have a full and festive dinner. Local individuals, families, groups, houses of worship and corporations who wish to join HomeFront in this mission can participate in the organization’s 2014 Thanksgiving Drive, planned for Nov. 12 through 21.

HomeFront’s goal is to provide enough food to serve 2,000 families. Participants are encouraged to donate baskets filled wih the trimmings for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. “Extra” canned good donations will help feed needy families beyond Thanksgiving day.

For more information and the list of suggested food items, call 989-9417 ext. 133. The filled baskets can be dropped off at 1880 Princeton Avenue, Lawrenceville, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon.
