Geocaching presentation set for Lawrence Nature Center

Four events, including geocaching, are scheduled for the Lawrence Nature Center in August.

The Wonder of Nature, a program led by Sonja Michaluk is scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 5.

Geocaching is scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 12. Geocaching is a treasure hunt in nature that is suitable for any age. Brittany Scott is set to lead a presentation on how to hunt for treasure, use a compass and a GPS. The event is set to take place outdoors, weather permitting. Attendees should wear appropriate shoes and bring a GPS or smart phone with GPS, if possible.

Art Night is scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 19. Eldridge Park artists Susan Kiley and Toj Colavita are set to help participants create a piece of art.

Campfire Tales is scheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 26. Sit around a campfire with master storyteller Mike Erdie and listen to his fascinating tales.

Lawrence Nature Center is located at 481 Drexel Ave., Lawrence Township.
