Friends of the Lawrence Library to hold book sale

Friends of the Lawrence Library is set to hold its September Book Sale featuring thousands of used, gently-read books.

The sale is scheduled to begin 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 20 and send 4:40 p.m. Sept. 28. at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System, 2751 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville.

Before the sale official opens, Friends of the Lawrence Library are set to host the Friday Preview Event Sept. 19. The library will be closed for normal operations during the Friday Preview Event.

Admission to the Preview Event is free for current members of the Friends of the Lawrence Library. New memberships can be purchased during the Preview Event. General admission to the Preview Night is $5 with a maximum family admission of $15.

Booksellers will be charged $20 and will only be allowed to use scanning devices during the Preview Event.

Beginning September 20, entry to the sale is free and open during the library’s regular hours. No scanning devices will be allowed.

Book donations for the Friends of the Library book sale are always accepted at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch.

Proceeds from the book sale fund programs and other library services that benefit library patrons of all ages.
