The Eco Del Sur music group made a visit to Slackwood Elementary School on April 29, 2015. The musicians spent the morning teaching third grade students about various instruments from Central and South America, and provided students an opportunity to play them with the band.

Eco Del Sur performed in an assembly for the entire school in the afternoon, again providing students the opportunity to play with them as they performed regional songs. The students greatly enjoyed the music lessons and performance. Several students requested autographs at the end and were delighted to hear songs with which they were familiar.

The visit was possible thanks to a grant from the Lawrence Township Education Foundation.

Eco Del Sur of Morrisville, PA performs music of the Andes and Latin America using traditional and contemporary musical instruments. The music of Eco Del Sur includes a wide ranges of styles and rhythms, such as cumbias, joropos, guajiras, huaynos, valz, sanjuanitos and more. The members of the band are from different countries in South America.
