Titusville Academy gets new principal

The Titusville Academy, a state-approved, non-profit school for students with learning and behavioral difficulties, has a new principal, Elford Rawls-Dill.

Prior to coming to the Titusville Academy, Rawls-Dill was the director of curriculum and instruction at Asbury Park Public Schools. He also worked as an elementary principal for Long Branch Public Schools.

During his academic career, Rawls-Dill has authored and implemented a number of curriculum and school improvement programs, including a curriculum for a course on race, gender and ethnicity.

He earned a B.S. in English literature from Jersey City University and an M.S. in education administration from Monmouth University. He is currently working on a doctorate in educational leadership.
