Stony Brook students celebrate reading challenge

Stony Brook Elementary School students celebrated reading 228,383 minutes during the Principal’s Reading Challenge by dressing up as their favorite characters. The challenge, led by principal Stephen Wilfing, took place during four weeks in March and April. On “Wear Your Reading Genre to School Day,” dressed as characters from nursery rhymes, biographies, fairy tales, mysteries and historical fiction stories.
