HVC spring concert to celebrate animals in song

Hopewell Valley Chorus plans to host its Spring Into Song concert on May 3.

The Hopewell Valley Chorus is set to host their spring concert “Animal Crackers,” on May 3 at 4 p.m. The event will take place at the Unitarian-Universalist Church of Washington’s Crossing located at 268 Washington’s Crossing-Pennington Road in Titusville.

The concert will feature a series of lighthearted songs about animals—settings by Eric Whitacre of poetry by Ogden Nash. Music includes “Seal Lullaby,” “All the Pretty Little Horses,” “The Lobster Quadrille” (from Alice in Wonderland) and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”

Animal Allies and Tabby’s Place will be on hand to tell about their rescue and adoption organizations.

Tickets are $15, or $10 for seniors/students.
