Hopewell Helping Hoops is set to host its first annual H3 All-Star Basketball Invitational Charity Event at Hopewell Valley Central High School on Friday, August 21, 2015.

Invited to participate based on skill and level, elite players in 5th and 6th, 7th and 8th, and 9th and 10th grades from Hopewell Valley and neighboring communities will play each other in a series of basketball games. Doors are set to open at 5:30 p.m. and the first game will begin at 6 p.m.

As part of Hopewell Valley residents’ ongoing commitment to giving back, Timberlane Middle School students Aidan and Shane Gross came up with the idea as a way to raise money for the local community through an evening of fun and friendly competition. All proceeds raised will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County.

Providing young people with social, enrichment and recreational activities through after-school, weekend and summer programs, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County programs focus on improving youth outcomes in education and careers, character development and leadership, and developing health lifestyles through physical activity and healthy living.

A $10 donation for tickets for the fundraiser are available for purchase at the door or in advance. Tickets purchased in advance can be picked up at 8 Baldwin Street, Pennington. Please call (609) 737-2525 prior to pick up.
