DanceWorks to celebrate anniversary with free classes

DanceWorks is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary with free sample classes on Sept. 7.

The celebration, which also includes light refreshments and giveaways, is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at DanceWorks’ location in the Pennington Shopping Center, 25 Rt. 31 South.

Thirty-minute sample classes include hip hop, lyrical, jazz and pre-school classes Future Stars and Tapping Tots.

Visitors can also spin the prize wheel for a chance to win discounted registration, a t-shirt or dance bag.

Under the direction of Karen Martin and Suzie Schnoor, DanceWorks has been in business since 2004 catering to those looking to dance as an outlet for fun and creative expression, as well as for those seeking more technical training.

Registration for the 2013-2014 school year is currently being accepted. DanceWorks offers classes in ballet/pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, modern/contemporary and pre-School dance. Scheduled workshops include Turns & Leaps and Acrobatics. Classes are available for students ages three and a half to adult.
