On July 11, 2009, Hamilton residents Craig and Alison Frame rushed to the hospital. Alison was in labor with their second child, and the baby was coming—fast. At the corner of Mercer Street and Hughes Drive, Alison realized she wasn’t going to make it to the hospital in time. The Frames pulled into the parking lot at the Nottingham Fire Company on Mercer Street, where Craig called 911. Capt. Ray Pierce heard the call come in, and realized the Frames were right outside. He alerted the staff on duty, and Craig Crawley and John Burton assisted in delivering the baby.

Now a first grader at Sayen Elementary School, Emily Frame knows the story of how she came into the world. During a class trip to the firehouse last school year, she informed everyone that she was born there. At left, the photo that appeared in the August 2009 edition of the Hamilton Post.
