Langtree Elementary School PTA is set to sponsor a Fall Fest and Vendor Fair on Oct. 19.

The event is scheduled for 12 to 4 p.m. at the school, 2080 Whatley Road, Hamilton.

Advanced admission is $20 for four wristbands and $6 for each additional band. At the door, wristbands are $8 each. Wristbands entitle the wearer to one food item and participation in the day’s activities.

Activities include bounce houses, games, face painting, music and dancing. There will also be a 50/50 cash raffle.

Fall Fest features a scarecrow contest. Entrants can submit a four to seven foot scarecrow in three categories. The first category is traditional scarecrows, which are made of cast-off clothing, burlap, overalls, straw hats, bonnets and corn shucks. Business scarecrows can display an advertisement no bigger than 11 by 7 inches. The final category is “any other,” which is meant for creative scarecrows that do not fit the other categories.

Vendor applications are still being accepted at a cost of $25. The event is outside; vendors must provide their own tables.

Proceeds benefit Langtree PTA.
