Karen Enourato-Pavljuk decribes opening Karen Lynn’s Salon 17 years ago as a dream come true.

At 16, Enourato knew she was destined to work in a salon because of her admiration of a close family friend in the industry.

“She was just very interesting to me, and so I thought I’d like to do what she did for a living. From there it just evolved,” Enourato said.

The glitz and glamour are what hooked Enourato to the industry as a teen, but the relationships within are what keep a smile on her face 17 years later.

“My favorite thing is the people. Interacting with the people, meeting new people,” Enourato said.

She also values the close relationship she has with her coworkers. “We have a great group of girls here. There are only eight of us, and we all really interact well together and interact well with our customers,” she said.

Enourato describes her salon as friendly, open, busy and welcoming. She says the customer experience is what sets her salon apart from the others.

The outside of Karen Lynn’s Salon appears much like a house, and the inside matches, with a distinct homey feel. Soap operas play from the television in the corner of the room, but it’s hardly noticed over the conversation and laughter that fills the air.

“Our customers feel the warm, friendly atmosphere that we provide. I think that’s one of the main reasons they continue to come back,” Enourato said. “We not only do great hair, but we’re always personable.” Enourato said many of her clients have been with her for years.

Karen Lynn’s Salon specializes in coloring. It’s no surprise that even the color line they use—Aloxxi—has formed a special relationship with the salon.

“I really love the hair color we use, and I feel the customers really love it, too,” she said. “I’ve been using Aloxxi since it was born, basically. I’ve been true to it. We keep ourselves educated in that color line and all of its changes as it evolves.”

Karen Lynn’s Salon is a fullservice salon offering a wide range of salon and spa services, including hair, skin, nails, and waxing. The salon is equipped with four free standing stations, a facial station, nail stations and a pedicure room.

Since the salon opened in 1994, the work has not stopped. Enourato takes pride in her businesses success, atmosphere and drive.

“When a new customer walks into the salon, they should expect to see a busy salon, because we’re workers; we’re hard workers,” Enourato said.

Karen Lynn’s also offers VIP specials to clients via email.

Right now, the salon is gearing up for a new email special and a gift certificate special just in time for Christmas.

Karen Lynn’s Salon is located at 4481 South Broad Street in Yardville. For more information, call (609) 581-2150.
