The Princeton Photography Club is set to present “Celebrating Diversity,” a photo exhibit, beginning January 15 with an opening reception set for January 21, 2016 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The exhibit will be on view at the Lakefront Gallery at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital located at One Hamilton Health Plaza, through April 7, 2016.

Initiated in January 2013, “Our New Jersey Communities: Diversity as Witnessed through the Lens” is a photographic documentation of cultural, religious and geographic diversity of the state. The exhibit resulting from the project consists of 78 photographs from 23 photographers, themselves a reflection of the diversity they aim to capture. Through imagery of disparate groups and situations, the goal of the ongoing project is to provide access and build understanding.

“Celebrating Diversity” focuses on a number of themes, among them: town and country, farming, houses of worship, sports, history (with battle reenactments and William Trent House), and Trenton High School. The themes structure the rich heritage of diversity in the state.
