Kisthardt Elementary celebrates Black History Month with ‘Motown Sound’

On Friday, Feb. 26, Kisthardt Elementary School put on a production in celebration of Black History Month. The production, titled “The Motown Sound,” highlighted bands such as The Jackson Five, The Temptations, The Marvelettes and The Supremes.

“The Motown Sound” was a whole-school production as each grade level participated in singing a Motown hit. Speakers from grades PreK-5 introduced each musical act. The highlights of the show were several stage performances of Motown favorites lead by 4th and 5th grade students.
