New Hamilton Area YMCA CEO David Kisselback
The Board of Directors of the Hamilton Area YMCA announced June 1 the appointment of David Kisselback as the organization’s new CEO.
Kisselback brings with him 25 years of experience as a YMCA executive. Most recently, He served as CEO of the Silver Bay YMCA on Lake George in New York State, an organization with a $7.9 million annual budget and 20,000 members. During his tenure, he raised over $18 million in annual and capital support and operated with balanced or surplus budgets. He has also served as CEO of the Glens Falls Family YMCA, also in New York, and as Vice President of Operations for the Community YMCA in Red Bank.
In addition to his YMCA experience, Kisselback also has been an active member of his local Rotary Club for over 20 years and is a past president of Fort Hudson Health System. He has also been involved with such organizations as Caritas and the Knights of Columbus. During his time at Silver Bay, Kisselback played a leadership role in the New York State Alliance of YMCAs.
“David Kisselback brings a wealth of experience with him to the Hamilton Area YMCA,” board chair John Cimino said. “With the launch of our new Healthy Living Programs and our continued commitment to responding to the needs of our community, David is joining us at an exciting time. I am confident that under his leadership, the Hamilton Y will continue to flourish.”
Kisselback was selected after an extensive nationwide search launched after the announcement that longtime CEO Jim Fell would retire this spring. The search was led by a committee made up of current members of the Hamilton Area YMCA’s Board of Directors. Representatives of YMCA of the USA assisted with the search providing administrative and technical support.
Kisselback is a graduate of The College of St. Rose with a degree in business administration and marketing. He is a member of the Board of Associates of his alma mater and a past president of the Alumni Association National Board of Directors.
Kisselback starts his new job as CEO of the Hamilton Area YMCA June 1.
Asked what he is most looking forward to in his new role, Kisselback said, “I am excited to explore opportunities to expand our programs to those in the community who need them most. There is enormous potential to partner with other civic and community organizations, as well as our neighboring YMCAs. I am looking forward to tapping into that potential.”
