Hamilton Township will mark the anniversary of September 11th with its annual remembrance ceremony at noon Monday, Sept. 11 at the September 11th Memorial Grove inside the Klockner Road Entrance of Veterans Park.
The ceremony will include the participation of Mayor Kelly Yaede, Hamilton Township police, fire and first responder personnel, the Hamilton Township Patriotic Committee, pastor Lance Walker of Faith Baptist Church, and the Steinert High School Select Choir.
Petal Pushers florist of Hamilton donated the Memorial Wreath that will be used during the remembrance ceremony.
Hamilton’s September 11th Memorial Grove area holds a Steel Beam from the World Trade Center, as well as fire fighter and police monuments and a memorial to the Hamilton residents who died on September 11, 2001—William Reed Bethke, Daniel Leonard Maher, Susan L. Schuler and Jeannine Damiani-Jones.
Due to anticipated crowds and limited seating capacity, attendees are encouraged to arrive early or to bring lawn chairs.
In the event that inclement weather on September 11th causes the formal ceremony to be cancelled, a Memorial Wreath will be placed at the Memorial Grove as soon as weather permits.
