Hamilton high schools to present spring musicals

Steinert, Nottingham and Hamilton West High Schools are set to present their spring musicals.

Steinert High kicks things off with Beauty and the Beast this weekend at the school’s auditorium. Show times are Thursday, Feb. 26 at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Nottingham is set to perform The Wiz on March 5, 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. in the school’s auditorium. There will also be a free performance for senior citizens on March 3 at 6 p.m.

The Wiz tells the story of four unlikely friends coming together to learn about themselves as they travel to the Emerald City to meet The Wiz to fulfill their wishes. Along their journey the four encounter the witches of Oz, Addaperle, Evillene and Glinda.

The cast includes Dylan Gurgurich as The Wiz, Ryshawn Cooper as Tinman, Lea Abreu as Dorothy, Isaiah Alston as Scarecrow, Jason Rodriguez as Lion, Carly Goldman as Addaperle, Dominique King as Evillene and Martinique Creech as Glinda.

Tickets are $10.

Hamilton West is set to perform Annie Get Your Gun on March 12, 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. in the school’s auditorium.

Annie Get Your Gun is a fictionalized version of the life of sharpshooter Annie Oakley.

The cast includes Jenna O’Neill as Annie Oakley, Joe Saurez as Frank Butler, Diego Caban as Buffalo Bill Cody, Stephanie Hampton as Dolly Tate, Kyle Sullivan as Charlie Davenport, Allison Reed as Winnie Tate, ZayQuan Wilson as Tommy Keeler, Elijah Rozier as Chief Sitting Bull, Michael Chell as Foster Wilson and Johnny Martin as Pawnee Bill.

Tickets are $10.
