Hamilton’s Golf Center is seeing more ‘green’ this year. It’s not more green fields for the driving range; it’s the green of more dollars from increased sales revenue.

Through mid-August, Hamilton’s Golf Center is on pace to exceed its revenue projections for the year – a sign that the center is growing in popularity and usage.

For the entire year of 2014, the Golf Center collected over $116,000 in revenue. But so far this year – with several months left for visitors to use the center’s driving range and miniature golf course – the Hamilton Golf Center has already collected over $97,000 in revenue.

Just this past July, the Golf Center collected $26,462 in revenue for the month– a 45 percent increase in revenue when compared to July 2014. And with annual operating and capital costs at just under $80,000 for the facility, Mayor Kelly Yaede plans to return the additional dollars back to taxpayers next year by using it as reserve revenue that can offset property taxes.
