The Yardville-based company Northeast Communications Group has been awarded a national telecommunications cabling contract by National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance, a leading national government purchasing cooperative working to reduce the cost of goods and services to governments.

The contract will include a full line of communication wiring installation and related services and a full line of nearly 1,400 commonly used telecommunication products currently made available by the company to the U.S. General Services Administration.

New Jersey has allowed local contracting units to utilize national cooperative contracts as a method of procurement with enactment of a law which makes the procurement process more efficient and provides cost savings to governmental entities through significant joint purchasing power.
