Grice students build guitars

Grice Middle School students Savannah Puccio, Markland Harris and Connor Walsh with the guitars they are making in the Woodshop Rocks program.

“Woodshop Rocks!” is the motto in Mike Friedman’s 8th Grade Technology class at Grice Middle School.

Grice Middle School is one of about twenty middle schools in the country that offers Woodshop Rocks. Students enrolled in the class are building fully functional electric guitars and ukuleles. Students plan to complete their guitars in January.

Woodshop Rocks’ mission is to build confidence and knowledge in tool use, all while learning real world applications of mathematics, science, technology, engineering, design, and music.
