Greenwood Cemetery plans to expand various sections

The Board of Directors of the Greenwood Cemetery Association ratified the expansion of several new cemetery gardens at its annual meeting in November 2014.

Greenwood Cemetery is a nonprofit cemetery with 120 acres. It is the largest cemetery in Mercer County serving all faiths.

The cemetery has added several hundred additional graves to its Greek Orthodox section.

It also plans to expand its Catholic Cemetery Gardens and Chinese Cemetery Gardens by 2,000 burial spaces each. The Catholic Cemetery Gardens will also feature a new garden crypt mausoleum.

The Islamic Gardens will gain an additional 1,000 burial spaces.

Greenwood Cemetery is located at 1800 Hamilton Avenue, Trenton.
