Dignity Run to bring together tri-state motorcyclists in support of disabilities

On September 20, 2015 at 12 noon motorcycle riders from Easton, Pa., Long Island City, N.Y., and Wayne and Hamilton, N.J. will convene in Hopewell to support the community services agency Alternatives, which provides services and housing for people with disabilities. The “Dignity Run” will start from four designated locations including The Tilted Kilt in Hamilton at 557 Highway 130.

Riders will follow a scenic route on picturesque, winding rural roads. After the run, riders can enjoy complimentary BBQ at the Hillbilly Hall restaurant in Hopewell, local vendors and raffles and listen to the sounds of the rock and soul band GoodWorks. Professional photographer Victor Zamelin will shoot portraits of the bikers on their motorcycles. The cost is $20 per person, and non-riders are also welcome at Hillbilly Hall.

The event is sponsored by Hopewell Valley Community Bank, Shoprite of Hunterdon County and Williams Harley Davidson in Lebanon, N.J.

Alternatives, Inc. is a community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to assisting individuals with special needs reach their highest level of independence and integration into the community by providing residential opportunities coupled with comprehensive support service. Alternatives provides services for people with developmental disabilities, employment services, mental health services and affordable housing.
