Boys & Girls Clubs to host Capital City Challenge

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County are set to host the First Annual Capital City Challenge, a high school basketball event, on Saturday, January 9, at 12 noon at Trenton Catholic Academy in Hamilton.

Five high schools are set to participate in the event. The schools include Trenton Catholic Academy, Trenton Central High School, Ewing High School, Scotland Performance Institute and Coastal Academy. The schedule is as follows:

Scotland Performance Institute vs. Coastal Academy boys at 12 noon.

Trenton Catholic Academy vs. Ewing HS girls at 1:30 p.m.

Trenton Central HS vs. Trenton Catholic Academy boys at 3 p.m.

General admission is $5 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County after-school programs, which serve over 1,000 children and teens. The Club provides daily extended-day learning and academic enrichment programs at its Trenton location at 212 Centre Street, in six public schools in the City of Trenton and at its Lawrenceville location at 1040 Spruce Street.
