Arc Mercer Walk-a-Thon set for May 18

The 2013 Arc Mercer Walk-a-Thon is set for May 18 at Veterans Park in Hamilton.

All proceeds are set to benefit the Arc Mercer’s mission to help people with developmental disabilities meet their goals by integrating them into the community.

Registration is set for 9 a.m. and the one-mile walk begins at 10 a.m. Following the walk, there is a free picnic lunch, 50/50 raffle, DJ, games and an inflatable slide.

Individuals who raise at least $25 will receive a free t-shirt.

The Arc’s fundraising goal is $10,000.

There is also craft fair scheduled for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the games/senior pavilion at the park.

The Arc is seeking local artisans who sell handcrafted items, artwork, photography, textiles, and décor for the fair. The Arc Mercer provides services to more than 1,000 children & adults, and their families, in Mercer County.
