11th annual Tribute to Dr. King set for Jan. 17

Residents can celebrate the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at Hamilton Township’s 11th Annual Tribute to Dr. King.

The ceremony is scheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 17 at Faith Baptist Church, 2111 Kuser Road, Hamilton.

The tribute will include musical performances by Hamilton resident Isaiah Alston, a top ten finalist on the television show The Voice, and the Faith Baptist Church Choir.

During the ceremony, Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County will receive the Dr. King Spirit of Community Service Award.

Dr. Joseph E. Woods, Senior Pastor of Saint Phillips Baptist Church in Hamilton is the keynote speaker.

The annual program is co-sponsored by the Hamilton Township Municipal Government, the Hamilton CYO Bromley Neighborhood Center and J.O. Wilson Hamilton Neighborhood Center.

Admission to this tribute ceremony is free. A reception will take place following the program’s conclusion.
