To help promote health and wellness for the older population, on May 29, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., PEAC Health & Fitness will celebrate National Senior Health and Fitness Day. The morning will include friendly competition, healthy snacks and age-related resources for PEAC’s senior citizen members and their guests. There is no cost for this event, and guests of senior PEAC members can attend with no guest fee.

Attendees can participate in “Olympic style” relay races and games. Light refreshments will be available and Barbara Walker, PEAC’s Wellness and Lifestyle Coach, will give a healthy food demonstration. A representative from Robert Wood Johnson Health System will offer balance screenings. Representatives from Care One and Senior Care Management, both in Ewing, NJ, and Brandywine Senior Living in Pennington, NJ will be available to answer questions and offer their resources. Information regarding AARP/United Healthcare will also be available.

“Our senior members are such an active and enthusiastic group,” said Laurel Reid, PEAC’s Forever Young Director. “This is a fun way to promote the benefits of staying active, no matter what your age.”

PEAC is located at 1440 Lower Ferry Road in Ewing. For more information, contact Christine Tentilucci at (609) 883-2000 or ctentilucci@PEAChealthfitness.com. Visit PEAC’s website at PEAChealthfitness.com.
