Mayor Bert Steinmann receives award from Dr. Georgia Arvanitis of EASEL.

On April 24, 2015, the EASEL Animal Rescue League hosted a fundraising event in Ewing with an attendance of over 400 Mercer County residents. The organization presented Ewing Mayor Bert Steinmann with an award in appreciation for his outstanding support and protection of the homeless animals of Ewing Township. In just a few years, the collaboration between the all-volunteer organization and the municipal shelter has saved over a thousand lives and led to an effective no-kill status for Ewing Township.
