Hopewell Valley Youth Chorale braved 27 degree weather to send singing telegrams to shoppers at the entrance of the Pennington Quality Market on Feb. 8.

For a suggested donation of $5, choristers sang I Just Called to Say I Love You into cell phones as a fundraiser for their trip to the Appalachian Festival of Young Voices this summer. Their singing valentines went as far as the United Kingdom and Belgium.

The chorale raised more than $400 dollars for their trip.
