The Kiwanis Club of Ewing recognized four Ewing High School students this spring as part of its ongoing Sponsored Youth Program.

On April 3, March Students of the Month Teagan Walker and Collin Rutkowski received the club’s Student of the Month award. One month later, on May 1, April Students of the Month Morgan Rutkowski and Ezravon Young were honored.

The Student of the Month award is given to students selected by the high school for their academic achievement and demonstration of leadership and citizenship. The awards are presented during club’s first meeting of the month during which the Kiwanis members hear about the students’ accomplishments and plans.

Presenting the awards at the April ceremony were Kiwanis member George Skroumbelos and member Linda Reasoner. At the May event, Skroumbelos again joined in presenting the awards, along with fellow member Ron Kozlowski.

The Kiwanis Club of Ewing sponsors programs that support local youth through leadership development, community service and academic recognition.
