Ewing Jr. Blue Devils Youth Football is a non-profit organization that provides interactive sports recreation to youth in Ewing Township, Trenton and surrounding areas. This summer, the league will offer two programs: flag football for boys 3-12 and tackle football for boys 5-14. The league’s new home football field is located at Moody Park in Ewing.

Flag football starts in June, with games every Saturday in July. The tackle program, which usually generates over 150 participants, starts in August and runs until mid November. Teams play in the South Jersey Independent Youth Football program, traveling an average of 30 minutes to surrounding South Jersey towns to play. Players will learn the fundamentals of football and life skills, such as respect, having a strong work ethic, conflict resolution and teamwork.

Student-athletes are encouraged to develop self-esteem, self-worth, citizenship and leadership skills. Players must maintain a C average in school to be eligible to play, just as they would at the high school level. Registration for both programs is online at ewingjrbluedevils.com. Find the Ewing Jr. Blue Devils on Facebook.
