The Ewing Township Historic Preservation Society is set to host a Country Auction on Saturday, August 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will take place at the Benjamin Temple House located at 27 Federal City Road in Ewing.

The event is set to feature music, food and a live auction. The public is invited to preview the items for auction beginning at 10 a.m. Bidding will begin at 11 a.m. Items to be auctioned include paintings, furniture, books, music, antiques, tools and more.

Patrick Ryan, Director of Studio 353 in Princeton, and a resident of the Benjamin Temple/Ryan Farmhouse before it was moved to its current location, will be the auctioneer. Ryan is an experienced art collector and auctioneer and passionate historian.

Music will be provided by Bill O’Neal on acoustic guitar and Wolf Hul on country fiddle. Light snacks will be available for sale, and members of the Society will be on hand to conduct tours of the Benjamin Temple House. Attendees are invited to bring a lawn chair if they wish.

The day’s activities will be rescheduled in the event of rain. Proceeds of the event will help support the Society and its current goal of installing handicapped access to the Temple House. Please note that payments for the auction items will be restricted to cash or check only.

The Ewing Township Historic Preservation Society was founded in the early 1970s, and seeks to preserve, promote and interpret the history of the Township.
