Ewing resident Magdalena Stankowska received a full-ride scholarship to Princeton University.
She is a member of the Millhill Trenton PEERS, an empowerment and education program that Millhill Child and Family Development created for the betterment of Greater Trenton’s youth.
Stankowska credited her achievement in part of her involvement with Trenton PEERS.
“I would not have been able to accomplish as much as I did without my marvelous support system,” She said in a statement, “Mr. [André] Monday and the Trenton PEERS, as a whole, have provided me with great support, loads of encouragement, and constant guidance.”
The Trenton PEERS program encourages its members to participate in other extracurricular activities as well. During her time at Ewing High School, Stankowska ran cross country, became president of the Key Club, was stage manager for the school’s annual musicals and became a member of the National Honor Society.
She plans to major in sociology and earn a certificate in theatre at Princeton University.
