The EASEL Animal Rescue League is highlighting two pets for their Rescue of the Month.

Nestle

Nestle was transferred from Texas to New Jersey in January. Nestle had eight puppies while living on the streets in Texas when Hurricane Harvey hit. She was brought into a rescue to save her and her puppies. Her puppies were sent to New Jersey into other rescues to help get them adopted while she stayed behind to get spayed. Now she is in New Jersey waiting for her forever home! She is a friendly dog who loves other dogs. She loves to play with toys and is great with her food bowl. She is house trained and crate trained and a very loving dog!

Leo

Leo is an 14-year-old grey tabby cat who thinks he is a dog. He was the perfect companion to an elderly woman who recently passed away. He talked to her and followed her around the house. Leo likes to be the king and center of attention.
