The EASEL Animal Rescue League is highlighting two pets for their Rescue of the Month.

Toast

Toast was found in the yard of a Ewing resident on Parkway Ave. He is a fox terrier/beagle mix and is very affectionate. He has lots of energy but knows how to calm down. He is still learning manners, however, being treat oriented, he will be easy to teach.

Kit

Kit was a foster failure out of Ewing Shelter. Unfortunately, she wound up moving in with another dog who was extremely aggressive towards cats so she needed to be rehomed. She is very sweet and is one of EASEL’s free roamers, so she gets along great with other cats. She has lived with many foster dogs and cats over the years. She is very curious in nature and likes to watch everything.

She will come for love on her terms and really enjoys sitting on a lap (no petting required). She has only every been in indoor cat but will bring you socks or towels as presents while singing to you. If she has a chance to go outside she would explore so watch your doors. Kit would be fine being an only pet or would be great with any mixture of other pets.

The EASEL trailer and Ewing Animal Shelter are located at 2 Jake Garzio Drive in Ewing. The EASEL Animal Shelter is open for adoptions everyday 12 to 3 p.m. The trailer is open for adoptions Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Wednesday nights from 5 to 7 p.m.
