The EASEL Animal Rescue League is highlighting two pets for their Rescue of the Month.

Hank

Hank was found as a stray and his owners never claimed him. He is about 5 years old and only weighs about 10 lbs. Our guess is that he is a mix between a Jack Russell and a Chihuahua.

Hank can be a happy little dog when he gets what he wants. Hank is great on walks, and has not had any issue when he has met other dogs, and meets people very well.

Hank can, however, be dominant and will growl, bark, or show teeth when he doesn’t get his way. He needs a strong owner who will not tolerate him acting up. We think Hank would benefit from being with another dog who could help keep him in line.

Duchess

Yes – she truly is royalty. A real talker, who will command your attention. Such a sweetie, once you pet her you will not want to stop.

The EASEL trailer and Ewing Animal Shelter are located at 2 Jake Garzio Drive in Ewing. The EASEL Animal Shelter is open for adoptions everyday 12 to 3 p.m. The trailer is open for adoptions Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Wednesday nights from 5 to 7 p.m.
