15U Babe Ruth Team wins Memorial Day tournament

The Ewing/Hopewell Valley 15U Babe Ruth League team won the 2015 Gibbsboro-Voohees Athletic Association tournament on May 25, 2015. The Ewing/Hopewell Valley 15U Babe Ruth League team started its summer season with a victory at the 2015 Gibbsboro-Voohees Athletic Association (GVAA) Memorial Day Tournament on May 25, 2015. The team won the championship game 9-1.

The Babe Ruth League team jumped out to an early lead on GVAA and captured the victory going away. Nick Psomaras pitched a complete game, racking up 13 strikeouts. The offense was led by Jack Kandell, Sam Margulis, Kenny Sullivan and Adam Wijaya.

This year’s roster includes Andy Blake (INF,P), Max Brass (INF), Dom Gambino (SS, P), Jack Kandell (OF, P), Sam Margulis (CF), Nick Psomaras (1B, P), Michael Savas (C), Sid Spencer (OF), Jake Storer (OF, P), Kenny Sullivan (C), Jake Tobia (INF, P) and Adam Wijaya (INF, OF, P) with Al Kandell and Chris Tobia as coaches.
