Schools set out to fill Empty Bowls

The Bordentown Regional High School Art Club is set to host its third Empty Bowls fundraiser on Wednesday, April 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Attendees can enjoy an all-you-can-eat soup dinner and take home a handcrafted, dishwasher-safe bowl afterwards. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. Children 3 and under are free. All proceeds go toward the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and the St. Mary’s Food Pantry.Several local restaurants are also set to participate in another Empty Bowls fundraiser benefiting TASK and hosted by Northern Burlington High School. On April 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., customers can donate $5 and in return will receive soup, a cookie and a handmade ceramic bowl, crafted by students from Northern Burlington County Regional High School, Burlington Township High School, Middlesex High School and the Perkins Center of the Arts. Bella Mia Pizza, The Cake Box by Neelma, Europa Pizza, Farnsworth House, Jester’s Cafe, Luigi’s Pizza Fresca, Oliver A Bistro, Piccolissimo Italian Grille, The Vault Pizzeria and Under the Moon Cafe will all be participating.
