Word of Life Christian Center church opened a new food pantry in Springfield Township.

Since opening in October 2013, more than 250 families and individuals within Burlington County have donated non-perishable items, fresh food and supplies.

Word of Life Christian Center congregants’ mission is to help end global hunger by providing food for those in need in Springfield, Bordentown, Fort Dix, McGuire, Cookstown, New Egypt, Wrightstown, Columbus, Browns Mills, Pemberton and other surrounding areas.

Pantry shelves are filled through volunteer contributions and food drives.

Word of Life Christian Center’s Food Pantry is scheduled to be open every third Saturday of each month from 12 to 2 p.m. It is located at 2840 Monmouth Road in Springfield Township.

Those interested in volunteering or contributing can email adm.wolcc@ymail.com.
